Kantha is a technique of layering well-worn cloth and creating a pattern using just one stitch at a time. The textile recycling needlework that was passed down to women in India is starting to attract attention in Japan. This is an introductory guide to Kantha that provides detailed explanations from preparing the cloth to how to stitch various patterns.
