This is a beginner-friendly kit from the COSMO embroidery thread sashiko series “hidamari,” highly recommended for those new to sashiko.

“Sashiko” is a traditional form of needlework that originated in daily life during times when fabric was a precious resource.
Today, with a wide variety of fabrics and threads available, sashiko is appreciated not only for its practicality but also for its decorative appeal.

This kit allows beginners to enjoy sashiko in an accessible way by creating two practical coasters.

In addition to thread and fabric, the kit includes a sashiko needle, a sewing needle for finishing, and a needle threader?so even those without basic sewing tools can enjoy the project.

The pattern and cutting lines for finishing are printed directly on the fabric, making it easy to complete by simply stitching along the lines. (The printed lines can be removed with water.)
